Scotiabank Nuit Blanche turns 5… and we need your help to celebrate!
This year marks the 5th anniversary of Scotiabank Nuit Blanche. To celebrate this milestone, we need your event photos!
Starting September 20 until October 3, 2010, a retrospective exhibition celebrating the first four years of Toronto’s most celebrated contemporary art event will be showcased at Scotia Plaza, 40 King St. West. Selected artworks by past Scotiabank Nuit Blanche artists, as well as photos, video and multi-media performative work will be featured in an exhibition curated by Fern Bayer, one of the original curators from 2006.
We are looking for your best photos from the past four years. The most popular photos will be considered for inclusion in the retrospective photo exhibit – that hundreds of thousands of people will see on October 2!
We are looking for photos that fall within three categories:
1) Installations
2) Interactions
3) Toronto Transformed
To be eligible, photo submissions must be available in high resolution, and must come with a caption – including the name of the photographer, and a 50-word description.
Visit the the Scotiabank Nuit Blanche Facebook page at www.facebook.com/sbnuitblancheTO , post your best photos, and be sure to share it with your friends and tell them to ‘Like’ your picture. Those with the most ‘Likes’ will have a chance to be chosen for inclusion in the exhibition. Those whose photos are not chosen will be considered for other great gifts, like TTC day passes for October 2 and Scotiabank Nuit Blanche survival kits, designed to help you make the most of your Nuit!
We’ll be accepting photos until August 13. The winners will be notified by August 20. Be sure to send in your best pics today!
Full programming details for this year’s Scotiabank Nuit Blanche will be available at www.scotiabanknuitblanche.ca later this month. Follow @sbnuitblancheTO on Twitter for the latest updates and behind-the-scenes info about Toronto’s all-night contemporary art event.
