CANCELLATION POLICY: Full charges will apply if cancellation is not made within the following timeframes.

Akimbos: 5 days or more

Akimbits: 5pm the day before

Web Postings: 24 hours advance cancellation

 

TO BOOK AN AKIMBO

1. Request a Booking:

  • Send an email requesting a booking to info@akimbo.ca. Please note that we do not take bookings over the phone. 
  • We advise that you book at least 5 to 6 weeks in advance but we cannot guarantee availability. Akimbo sends a maximum number of broadcasts per day and we get booked up fast. 
  • If you're booking multiple broadcasts, please let us know at time of booking what broadcast dates you want for each one. Content of emails can be the same or different, although akimbo will not broadcast the same message repeatedly.

 

2. Send Copy: 

  • Send copy to info@akimbo.ca 
  • Copy must be emailed to us by 5pm 3 business days in advance of your e-blast date to allow time for us to format it and send you a proof. If copy is received after the deadline your akimbo will be canceled.  
  • Email address/phone number MUST be included. Akimbo will not broadcast without this information.  www. contact info. is not sufficient
  • Copy should be sent in body of email or as a word attachment. Do not send copy as pdf. Don't embed images in word documents.
  • Existing client billing informtation: send name, address, phone, email of person to be billed  
  • New client billing information: you must prepay online before we will broadcast your akimbo.
    • Contact us first with name, address, phone, email of person to be billed and we’ll tell you how. 
  • Word limit is strictly a maximum of 1,000 words  
  • Make sure to include in your copy: 
    • Name of organization/gallery
    • Name of artist /event/show
    • Dates/opening reception/hoursLocation/address including city

3. Send Image:

  • 3 images (including your logo) may be included and each must be 72 dpi jpgs no larger than 1MB sized to a maximum of 550px wide
  • Please email the jpgs to us as attachments, not embedded in text copy.


4. Proof:

  • We will send you a copy of what the email will look like when broadcast - we call it a Proof - two business days before your booked e-blast date. 
  • Proof is for format sign-off only, not for copy-editing. Additional charge of $50 will apply each time you copy-edit a proof so please make sure your copy is accurate the first time. 
  • We must receive proof signoff from you no later than 12pm the day before the broadcast is scheduled to go out, otherwise your email will not be sent and you will be charged the full amount of a broadcast.

TO BOOK AN AKIMBIT

1. Book an Akimbit:

  • Existing Clients: Send an email by 12 noon the day before broadcast requesting a booking to info@akimbo.ca. 
  • New Clients: Send an email by 12 noon two days before broadcast requesting a booking to info@akimbo.ca. 
  • Akimbits go out Tuesdays and Wednesdays. One booking means it goes out one day only. Please note that we do not take bookings over the phone. 
  • While there is a limit to the number of bits included in each akimbit, we will try to accommodate your request.  
  • If you're booking multiple broadcasts, please let us know at time of booking what broadcast dates you want for each one. Content of emails can be the same or different, although akimbo will not broadcast the same message repeatedly.

3. Send Image:

  • 3 images (including your logo) may be included. Size the images to 550px wide max, approximately 5"x6" as jpgs, 72 ppi and no larger than 1MB. We resize one of them for the thumbnail (let us know if you have a preference). 
  • Please email your images to us as attachments, not embedded in text copy.

 

TO BOOK A WEB POSTING

1. Send copy:

  • Send an email with your copy to info@akimbo.ca. Please note that we do not take bookings over the phone. 
  • Indicate in your message that the content is for Posting Only - not for email broadcast. 
  • Send it at least 24 hours in advance of when you want it posted. Give us 24 hours to get it posted. 
  • Copy should be sent in body of email or as a word attachment. Do not send copy as pdf. 
  • Don't embed images in word documents. 
  • Existing client billing information: send name, address, phone, email of person to be billed 
  • New client billing information: you must prepay online before we will post your content. 
  • Contact us first with name, address, phone, email of person to be billed and we’ll tell you how.

TO BOOK A HOMEPAGE CAROUSEL IMAGE

  • A Homepage Carousel Image must accompany the purchase of an Akimbo, Akimbit, or Web Posting
  • Send an email to info@akimbo.ca requesting a Homepage Carousel Image along with your Akimbo,  Akimbit or Web Posting. [Please note we don't take bookings over the phone.]
  • We’ll let you know if a spot is available *
  • When you book, send us your image at 450x345px, 72 dpi; or we'll produce one from an image used in your Akimbo, Akimbit or Web Posting
  • We link it to your copy on the website
  • Please note that Homepage Carousel Images are images only, not ads. Text accompanies the image containing detailed information such as artist, title, date, location.


*Dependent on availability. There are a limited number of Carousel Image spaces available at any given time.

TO BOOK A DISPLAY AD

  • Send an email to info@akimbo.ca requesting a Display Ad.  
  • We’ll let you know if a spot is available * 
  • If a spot is available we will request your ad at 300x250px, 72dpi and the URL you want it linked to 
  • Give us 24 hours to get the ad up


*Dependent on availability. There are a limited number of Display Ads available at any given time.

TO BOOK A LOGO AD

  • Send an email to info@akimbo.ca requesting a Logo Ad. [Please note we don't take bookings over the phone.]
  • We’ll let you know if a spot is available * 
  • When you book, send us your logo at 80x80px, 72 dpi and the URL you want it linked to 
  • Give us 24 hours to get the logo up


*Dependent on availability. There are a limited number of Logo Ads available at any given time.


BILLING & PAYMENT

  • Include your billing name, address, phone, fax and email in your correspondence with us. 
  • New clients must prepay online through PayPal or Interac Email Money Transfer. 
  • Invoices are emailed to existing clients within 1-3 weeks of booking. 
  • Payment due upon receipt by cheque or online through PayPal or Interac Email Money Transfer.
  • We do not take credit card information over the phone.
