Integration/Differentiation
Brandon A. Dalmer
March 26th- April 17th, 2010
Opening Reception: March 26th, 7 pm
Drawing upon processes found in AutoCAD, Sim City, and scale model making, Integration/Differentiation allows viewers a 24-hour window into the behavioural patterns of a potential suburban community. Inspired by the strange day-to-day practices of the artist’s neighbours over a number of years, the work explores the idea of community and the puzzling nature of the strangers living around us.

SAVE FOR WEB
March 26th - April 9th
Graphic Interchange Format (GIF) images have been around since the late 1980s. Currently the format has been picked up by web-users who re-contextualize them as artistic medium through repetition and apposition. This event will showcase the work of a number of artists from Toronto and abroad, all of whom are creating new work in GIF format. Curated by Leslie Predy and Stephanie Davidson.
Misinformed Informants
April 10th - April 23rd
Misinformed Informants invited emerging artists to answer to the idea of miscommunication, misunderstanding, misplaced lines of agreement. Responses range from antiquated expressions of communication to suggestions, covert signals, mis-remembrance and the un-apologetically false. Taped live at XPACE and presented by FADO Performance Art Inc.
