Reporting to the Director of the School of Visual Arts, the Store/Woodshop Technician is responsible for the school art supply store and the woodshop. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Arts. Demonstrable knowledge of art-making materials and systems, as well as, experience working with woodworking and sculpture is necessary. The successful candidate must have experience with various computer software systems including: Excel, Word, and Adobe Photoshop. Knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems and retail experience is essential. The successful candidate will also possess excellent organization skills and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) with a diverse campus community. Previous training regarding safety practices and procedures as it relates to art making practices is preferred as well as previous experience with financial systems (i.e. FIS) would be an asset.
