IMPULSEb: Diversionary Pleasures

IMPULSEb, the inheritor of Impulse magazine’s propensity for cultural entertainment, presents Diversionary Pleasures, an exciting and engaging one night party to celebrate the launch of their new book Impulse Interviews 1978-1990.

Diversionary Pleasures will open with celebrated Thai artist Rirkrit Tiravanija performing Curry Western.

Chris Kraus, author of I Love Dick, Aliens and Anorexia, Torpor and Sheila Heti, author of How Should a Person Be? and the recent Motherhood, will be interviewed by IMPULSEb authors Andrew James Paterson, Andrea Werhun, Nicole Bazuin, Robert Dayton, Fan Wu, and Judith Doyle, moderated by Eldon Garnet.

Live video performance by Jubal Brown, who Canadian Art magazine named "the dark prince of Toronto art." Multi-projection installation by dAeve Fellows. Music for the evening provided by DJ Richard Vermeulen (Boom Boom Room).
