Noah Browns Porcelain Boys will be exhibited at the Albright Knox Gallery this April

Here are a few other events we hope you will attend:

  1. Art Talk 9 is Friday April 6 at OCADU from 7-9 pm. A dozen of the most successful grade 12 students in history speaking about their research, passion and work.

  2. 21 ESACA students will be exhibiting at the Albright Knox Gallery, and in downtown Buffalo, this spring. The Albright Knox Gallery opening is April 12 at 6pm. The Buffalo Centre for Art and Technology opening is April 19.

  3. Two grade 12 students have solo exhibitions in Contemporary Art Galleries this spring – this is groundbreaking and hugely exciting news.

    Noah Brown’s exhibition Intergenerational Trauma is on at Project Gallery Studios until April 21:

    Rachel Burns will be exhibiting in the main space of a downtown gallery in a Contact Featured Exhibition - Exhibition opens Saturday April 21. Official announcement April 1

  4. Our Contact Photography Festival exhibition Dismantle will take over all three floors of Artscape Youngspace opening May 3 6-8pm. Part of CONTACT Photography Festival

  5. 20 of our grade 11 students will be exhibiting in the 2018 Flash Forward Incubator Photography Exhibition in Canada’s premier photography gallery this summer – more info to come

  6. The gargantuan End of Year Art Sale takes place Thursday May 24th from 3.30 to 9pm with more than 1500 art works throughout the first floor of the school. Due to high demand we suggest arriving as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Our 2017 sale saw fights erupt about certain work!

  7. Several of our students will be featured in the University of Toronto’s Trinity Review issue 130.2, available early April

  8. Ariana Pickard’s solo exhibition Collaboration of One opens March 22, 2018 / 7-9pm at Les Enfants Terribles - 130 Foxley Place, Toronto, ON

  9. Four of our students have been asked to participate in the group exhibition Space, at Neilson Park Creative Centre in April

  10. Spencer Julien has a solo exhibition Refraction, at Les Enfants Terribles, Toronto, ON - May 10, 7pm. Part of CONTACT Photography Festival

  11. Several of our students will be exhibiting in New York as Scholastic Art and Writing Gold Medalists this June. Special congratulations to Isabella Vella for receiving the Best in Grade award for her painting Old Honey. This painting was selected as the best single grade 11 art work submitted from around the world!

  12. Grade 12 students Noah Brown and Shellicka Anglin were interviewed recently for the Art Gallery of Guelph by Senior Curator Andrew Hunter and curator Liz Ikrinko. Those sessions are available as podcasts here:

Old Honey by Isabella Vella won Best In Grade at the 2018 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards and will be exhibited at the Albright Knox Galley opening April 12
