CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
150 Seconds of Ontario Filmmaking Contest

Deadline: Monday, August 28th at 11:59pm.
Submit to: 150soff@gmail.com

Jury awarded prizes for 1st ($1000), 2nd ($750), 3rd ($500), and people’s choice ($250).

If you had 150 seconds to tell a story about Ontario, what would you say? What are the most important, inspiring, or impactful things about our province? Factory Media Centre is commemorating the 150th year of confederation by presenting the 150 Seconds of Ontario Film Festival. Create a short film with the theme (and time limit) of 150 Seconds of Ontario. Express yourself & explore Ontario’s rich history, people, places, and events through filmmaking.

Short films can be created with a camera, camcorder, webcam, tablet, or cellphone. The most important tool is your imagination! The contest is open to people of all ages and skill levels. We encourage applications from Indigenous people, persons with disabilities, ethnic or racial minorities, immigrants and refugees, Francophones, LGBTQI+ persons, women, and persons of all socio-economic walks of life.

Contest entries will be juried by a panel of filmmakers, curators, and artists. The top scoring 40 entries will be screened at the 150 Seconds of Ontario Film Festival Gala in September 2017. Winners of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes will be announced at this event.
