Waddington’s presents two online auctions this April sure to inspire those passionate about Canada’s contemporary art market. Committed to building a vibrant secondary market for contemporary art, our auctions feature works by leading artists with exhibition history as well as emerging artists about to make their mark.

In its fifth season, Concrete Contemporary offers 82 works by leading contemporary Canadian artists including David Bierk, Betty Roodish Goodwin, Adah Hannah, John Kissick, Wanda Koop, Kent Monkman, and Nicholas Pye. This auction will be offered on Artsy.net from March 31 – April 13.

Also in April, we are proud to present Toronto’s first auction of Graffiti Art by Jason Wing, known as SKAM. Considered an elder statesmen of the local graffiti scene and one of the best known writers in Toronto, SKAM was influenced by classic New York City hip hop and BBoy cultures. SKAM maintains his street credit while receiving mainstream recognition for his consistently crisp and pristine work. He has designed movie sets, conducted live painting engagements for festivals and special events, as well as creating commissioned artwork for clients like Yabu Pushelberg, Google, Beanfield Metroconnect, and Louis Vuitton.

The Concrete Contemporary Art and SKAM Graffiti Art auctions will be on view together at Waddington’s April 3 – 13. Visit our website to find out more about these auctions and to register to bid www.waddingtons.ca
