The Canadian arts magazine with an edge, BlackFlash: Lens Site Scene reflects critically on lens-based and advanced media art practices. We serve a sophisticated readership that is interested in a wide range of contemporary art practices, and in a magazine that continues to both comment on and uniquely contribute to art production in Canada. Our collaborative philosophy and editorial practices make for a highly innovative, sometimes controversial, and visually stunning magazine.

For our upcoming issue, SOUND SITE SILENCE, we have completely transformed the architecture of the magazine to better reflect its content and provide a more media relevant platform from which to present a diverse arrangement of artist projects, features, and articles. Reformatted into an 8.5 x 11 inch boxed envelope containing a 72-page, full-colour, and DVD sized catalogue with DVD, this exciting issue will be jam-packed with thought-provoking and innovative artist projects and feature articles.
