2012 CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS – Short and Feature Films
The 6TH annual Grand River Film Festival (GRFF) encourages all filmmakers – student, amateur, professional – to submit to our annual competitions. This celebration of film provides filmmakers with a chance to screen your film in a festival setting, support and exposure, and the opportunity to network with film professionals.
DEADLINE: August 10, 2012
HOW TO SUBMIT
Submissions are now open at www.grff.ca. GRFF accepts submissions through Withoutabox which provides cost-saving, paperless submission to film festivals world-wide. By submitting, you'll join Withoutabox's global filmmaker community and stay in the loop about international exhibition opportunities.
The SHORT Shorts competition is a celebration of short films in two categories (Open and Waterloo Region with a special prize for student submissions). It provides aspiring filmmakers support and exposure of their 10 minute film or less through the hosting of a networking/shorts award event with judging by film professionals, the screening of their film in a festival setting, and the opportunity to win significant cash and product prizes. Films must have been produced after January 1, 2011.
New to GRFF in 2012 – this exciting program provides a $1,000 cash prize to the first place film. An underlying theme of the feature film, 80 to 210 minutes, must address the cultural relevance of Sport in community. This is an international competition however, films must have been produced after January 1st, 2010.
