Manager – Fund Development
Permanent, Full-Time, Out of Scope, Pay Scale to be Negotiated
Accepting applications until the position is filled.
Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Manager – Fund Development will support the MacKenzie Art Gallery's contribution to the cultural sector in Saskatchewan and beyond.
Provides strategic direction for, designs and leads the execution of an integrated fund development program with the Gallery fund development team. The program will include special and annual campaigns, corporate sponsorships, donations and memberships, private and individual donations, planned giving, individual memberships and special events.
Develops and proposes the budget, performance targets, stewardship responsibilities and evaluation measures of the fund development program.
Advises and supports the Executive Director in developing and growing the Gallery's partners and stakeholders.
Develops and directs the Gallery's volunteer interests, including support to and liaison with the MacKenzie Gallery Volunteers.
Provides strategic and operational leadership and support to Gallery staff as a member of the Gallery's management team.
Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent in related field.
- A certification in Fundraising Management is an asset.
- 5 – 10 years of major fundraising experience, including capital campaign experience.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Significant involvement in the non-profit sector, in a paid or volunteer capacity.
- Understanding and application of strategic planning.
- Track record of effective verbal and written communications.
- Knowledge of federal and provincial legislation affecting charities.
- Knowledge of fundraising management.
- Knowledge of special event planning and management.
- Knowledge of the management of volunteer resources.
- Knowledge of the Canadian Centre for Philanthropy's Ethical and Financial Accountability Code.

Executive Assistant
Permanent, Full-Time, Out of Scope, $42,500 - $50,000 / annum
Closing Date: July 16, 2012
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
To provide executive level administrative support to the Board of Trustees and to the Office of the Executive Director and Manager – Finance & Operations.
Liaison with contacts with both internal and external stakeholders in support of the Executive Director and Manager – Finance & Operations.
Required to provide a wide variety of high level confidential and complex administrative services in a fast paced environment.
Education and Experience
- Post-secondary secretarial or administrative diploma or an acceptable combination of education, experience and training.
- Knowledge as an administrative assistant, at an executive level (especially in a fast-paced, dynamic environment).
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Exceptional working knowledge of Windows applications (Excel, Work, Power Point, Access, Outlook).
- Considerable working knowledge of non-profit sector.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to process and handle confidential information.
- Ability to handle conflicting priorities and meet multiple deadlines.
- Attention to detail.
- Self starter.
- Possess strong organizational and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to foster relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
