Request for Proposal for
Art Consultant Services for the
General Isaac Brock Commemoration Project

Brock University is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) from specialist art consultants to provide project management services from inception through to completion of construction for the above named project.

Situated atop the Niagara Escarpment in St. Catharines, Ontario, Brock University is one of only a few Canadian universities with the distinction of being part of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. For a decade, Brock has had the second highest growth of students of any Ontario University with a student population of 18,000. Students responding to the Globe & Mail Canadian University Report rate Brock as one of Canada's top medium-size institutions with respect to quality of education, teaching, and most satisfied students.

The 200th anniversary of the War of 1812 and the 50th anniversary of Brock University in 2014 have prompted a proposal for a commemorative tribute to the University's namesake, Major-General Sir Isaac Brock, to be constructed on the Main Campus of the University. The intention is to help create a sense of history and tradition at the University reflecting Major-General Sir Isaac Brock in a traditional way and providing opportunity for viewing and interacting with the Commemoration through an adjacent gathering space consisting of integrated landscaping, lighting and seating.

The RFP package will be released on MERX Canadian Public Tenders on June 5, 2012. It is preferred that Respondents obtain the RFP package from MERX Reference No.246484. For non-MERX subscribers, the RFP package can be distributed by e-mail by first making an e-mail request including company name, address, telephone number, and name of contact person to the address below. All documentation must be submitted within the specified schedule as outlined in the RFP package. The submission deadline is June 26, 2012.
