Based on feedback from participants in Blogging (WordPress) for Beginners held June 5, we've decided to focus this workshop entirely on learning WordPress. This workshop is designed to teach artists and arts writers with a moderate level of digital literacy how to set up and manage their own WordPress.com site. You'll learn how to build your site, how to create pages and sub-pages, how to create blog posts and how to manage your digital assets (images, video, documents, etc.). You will also learn about managing comments and discussion, enabling social media and using WordPress widgets.
Participants will need:
- An email account that can be accessed during the workshop
- Some content for an 'About' page (such as your biography)
- Some content for an introductory blog post (such as a welcome message)
- A couple of digital images you own the rights to (such as a portrait for your About page and photos of your work)
How to register: To register please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Fees must be paid in full at time of registration. Payment of fees is the only way to reserve a spot. Payment may be made through PayPal with your bank account, credit card, or PayPal balance.
