This is the final call for applications from students and recent graduates for DECENT EXPOSURE, an exhibition that singles out fresh, new artists to get excited about.

HOW IT WORKS:
New artists can apply with a portfolio of up to five pieces in any medium for consideration by a panel of LAC visual arts professionals. Selected artists will be exhibited from June 30 – August 1 9, 2012 with an opening reception on Thursday, July 12 from 7 – 9 pm. Finalists will be paid an honorarium for their participation and will be featured in a curatorial statement on the Living Arts Centre website, print & online marketing, and various social media outlets.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE:

• All students of post-secondary, technical, and craft institutions are eligible to apply. Recent graduates within 2 years of the completion of their diploma, bachelors, or masters degrees are also eligible for consideration.
  
• Works in any medium are welcome including traditional media, performance, sound, and video.

HOW TO APPLY:

• Images/videos of up to 5 submissions of current work (jpegs on CD at 72 dpi)
• Image list including title, medium, size, date, for each submission
  * Artist's name must be clearly labelled on the submission CD*
• $20.00 administrative fee (cheques made out to the Living Arts Centre, cash accepted)
• artist statement or proposal for installation (max. 100 words)
• Current artist CV
• SASE (self addressed and stamped envelope) – please ensure correct postage for return of CD (The Living Arts Centre assumes no responsibility for images sent without return postage)

Notification of Acceptance: Artists will be notified by phone or email on Friday, June 8, 2012 if they have been selected to be in the exhibition. Only those accepted will be notified.
