Original works by more than 50 artists from the Hamilton area and across Canada will be featured at the eagerly awaited Art Gallery of Hamilton annual Spring Art Sale. The four-day sale showcases exciting new works – paintings, sculpture, glass, pottery and jewelry – by established and emerging artists. Admission to the sale is free. Funds raised from the sale are dedicated to programming activities at the AGH.

"We've invited many new artists to participate this year." said Alana Traficante, Manager, AGH Art Rental and Sales. "Art lovers will definitely find the perfect piece of original art for their home, office or that special one-of-a-kind gift."

Featuring Artists: Maria Lucia Amaral, Stephen Brookbank, Amanda Burk, Ian Busher, Pauline Conley, Peer Christensen, Alix Davis, Melissa Doherty (represented by Edward Day Gallery), Norma Dvorsky, Julie Fader, Roisin Fagan (Bespoke Uprising), Lana Filippone, Peter Fischer, Narelle Gibbs, Bailey Govier, Joanne Helman, Richard Herman, Julie Himel, Ken Jones, Stewart Jones, Mary Karavos, Darcie Kennedy, Annette Kraft van Ermel, Patrick Lajoie, Elizabeth Lennie, Magdalena Lesniak, Claire Madill (heyday design), Melanie Mena (Mena Dragonfly), Lesia Mokrycke, Julia Mori, Susan A. On Thursday, May 3 at 7 pm, the Opening Night of the Spring Art Sale, prospective art sale buyers will be able to enjoy a live performance by local singer-songwriter Julie Fader. On Friday, November 4 at 7 pm, they can listen to a vinyl-only set by DJ Devon Craig. A cash bar is available each night.

On Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6, the Art Gallery of Hamilton is a stop on Doors Open, the annual celebration of architectural and cultural sites. Doors Open visitors to the AGH are invited to drop by the Spring Art Sale.
