LEARNING ENRICHMENT AFTER-SCHOOL PRORGRAM (LEAP) is an after-school care program that offers high quality instructional classes right in the convenience of their own school. LEAP runs for the entire 2012-2013 school year.
LEAP is hiring instructors to teach
for the 2012-2013 school year.
Gymnastics Instructor
| Student ages: | grades SK – 8 (ages 5 - 13) |
| Class description: | group instruction in a Rhythmic gymnastics & Acro gymnastics for students ranging from beginner to intermediate level; instructor will tailor class to meet a variety of ages and skill levels |
| Qualifications: | enjoy working with children; highly organized; ability to engage students in learning; eager to share your passion for gymnastics; effective supervising a group of children ranging in ages; ability to plan classes for the entire school year; skills in using apparatuses of rope, hoop, ball, club & ribbon; skills in teaching performed choreographed acrobatic moves in various routines |
| Experience: | experience working with children; advanced level of gymnastic training; past experience teaching gymnastics to children preferred |
Dance Mix Instructor
| Student ages: | grades SK – 8 (ages 5 - 13) |
| Class description: | group instruction in a variety of dance including modern, jazz, hip hop, ballet for students ranging from beginner to intermediate level; instructor will tailor class to meet a variety of ages and skill levels |
| Qualifications: | enjoy working with children; highly organized; ability to engage students in learning; eager to share your passion for dance; effective supervising a group of children ranging in ages; ability to plan classes for the entire school year |
| Experience: | experience working with children; advanced level of dance training; past experience teaching dance to children preferred |
Drawing & Multi-Media Instructor
| Student ages: | grades SK – 8 (ages 5 - 13) |
| Class description: | group instruction in drawing techniques using various media such as charcoal, pastel, watercolour, and in multi-media projects; instructor will tailor class to meet a variety of ages and skill levels |
| Qualifications: | enjoy working with children; highly organized; ability to engage students in learning; eager to share your passion for visual art; effective supervising a group of children ranging in ages; ability to plan classes for the entire school year |
| Experience: | experience working with children; advanced level of visual arts training; past experience teaching art to children preferred |

| Location: | St. Anthony Catholic Elementary School 141 Kirk Drive, Thornhill |
| Date: | September 2012 to June 2013; one day a week, after school (school day ends at 3:30 p.m.) |
| Other: | Police Check and TB Test required Vehicle is suggested |
