"Doing nothing is very hard to do... you never know when you're finished."
- Leslie Nielsen
Repose is comprised of a series of recent paintings by Matthew Gardiner that reinterprets the traditional reading of the reclined figure. Utilizing procedures of appropriation and reconstruction of photographic materials that are then translated into painting, Repose explores issues related to western society's continued inclination towards leisure.

Opening Reception: Thursday April 26, 7:00pm – 9:00pm
Featuring: Lisa Anita Wegner
Using a variety of techniques, I interrogate traditional expectations and limitations of photography. I love that I can do anything in this reality, things that occur in my imagination. I can make anything I want and anything can have any colour, texture and exist anywhere. These pixel paintings started as a form of art therapy, I was putting my brain back together. As I progressed, it dawned on me that this was the way back – art saved my life – literally.
May 17 - 27, 2012
Opening Reception: Friday May 18, 7:00pm – 9:30pm
Featuring: Giovanni Senisi
This body of work explores the concept of automobiles as "shells" or outer skin for those encased within them. The scars they bear suggest 'impact' literally and symbolically and remind us of our strained relationships with the environment and each other. The wrecked car serves as an uneasy, modern vanitas.
AutoExuvium is presented as part of the CONTACT Photography Festival.
May 30 – June 3, 2012
Opening Reception: Friday June 1, 7:00pm – 9:30pm
Featuring: Jeff Molloy
Jeff Molloy is fascinated with Canadian history and culture.Molloy's life-sized encaustic blanket paintings signify more than a warm covering. These blankets are the woolly essence of Canada, and hint of wood smoke and weary trappers, of exploration and exploitation, canoes and commerce, the history of a people and the making of a nation.
Molloy's latest show, Due North, has its roots in such Canadian lore. Old canoe paddles, hockey sweaters, mixed media cabinets that portray Canadian legends, historical and Canadian flags hanging from old farm fragments, and the blankets tell Canada's rugged northern story in compelling colour and dimensions.
