VISUAL ARTS INSTRUCTOR
Fine Arts Department

Requirements:

  • Master of Fine Arts or equivalent degree and experience.
  • Post-secondary teaching experience.
  • Must be able to teach the following courses:
    - AR1360/AR1370: Visual Fundamentals (2d and 3d)
    - AR 2410/AR2430/ AR3410/ AR3430: Drawing

 

Successful Candidates Must: 

  • Be student centered, dynamic educators with excellent interpersonal/communication skills. The ability to adapt pedagogical methodologies to accommodate a diverse student body is essential.
  • Have the ability to work in a collaborative environment with fellow instructors and support staff in the areas of course development and delivery.
  • Maintain an active art practice and be engaged with contemporary modes of artistic production and theoretical discourse.
  • An interdisciplinary background is preferred.

 

This full-time sessional, leave replacement position will begin August 15, 2012, and end April 30, 2013. Grande Prairie Regional College offers an attractive benefits and remuneration package.
