COMFORT

December 7-18, 2011

A group exhibition presented by Workman Arts

in partnership with Propeller Centre for the Visual Arts

Opening Reception: Thurs Dec 8th 6pm-9pm at 984 Queen St W Toronto ON

"Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home." ~Edith Sitwell (1887 – 1964)

As the winter encroaches upon us, we find ourselves hiding away from the cold enjoying the comforts afforded to us.

This December, Workman Arts and Propeller Centre for the Visual Arts have come together to organize a unique mixed media exhibition of works responding to the theme of "comfort". Artists will be exploring their own personal sense of comfort, as well as providing insight into the darker side of the theme.

Join us Thursday December 8, from 6-9pm, where spoken word poetry will be performed live in conjunction with the opening reception.
