Won Lee is a Korean-born sculptor living and working in Canada. The show “At the edge of Immanence” covers selected work produced and cast in Mexico and China. Plane of Immanence is a founding concept in the metaphysics or ontology of the French philosopher Gilles Deleuze. The contrasts and tensions created in bronze by Won are all real distinctions (mind and body, God and matter, interiority and exteriority, etc.) that are then collapsed or flattened into an even consistency or plane.

The show is a fundraiser for African war refugees.
