ARTSCAPE
TRIANGLE GALLERY

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Artscape is proud to launch its latest programming initiative – the Artscape Triangle Gallery. The gallery is a dynamic, multi-purpose public space located on the main floor of Artscape’s newest residential building, the Artscape Triangle Lofts.

The Artscape Triangle Gallery is an affordable multi-purpose space available for short-term rental. Uses might include visual arts exhibitions (in all media including painting, drawing, sculpture, craft, design, new media, and installation), performance/rehearsal for all disciplines, gathering/meeting space, or public events such as record or book launches.

LOCATION
The Artscape Triangle Gallery is located at 38 Abell Street, just south of Queen Street West, in the heart of the Art and Design District, close to The Gladstone Hotel, Drake Hotel, Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art (MoCCA), The Theatre Centre and the largest concentration of art galleries in Toronto. The gallery is on the main floor of the building and can be accessed by exterior doors on Abell Street.

The gallery has flexible hours (daytime, evening, weekday and weekends) depending on the nature of your event. Standard gallery hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 11 AM – 6 PM.

SPACE DESCRIPTION
The Artscape Triangle Gallery measures 1100 square feet, with nearly 50 feet of running wall space. Ceilings are 12 feet and the floors/walls are sealed concrete, with 8’ drywall panels installed over the concrete for ease of hanging work. There is a partition wall running down the centre of the room, making it ideal for 2-person or small group exhibitions. Lighting is supplied through two tracks (one in each half of the room) with adjustable spotlight fixtures.

RENTAL RATES + BOOKINGS
We welcome proposals from collectives, artist groups, non-profit arts organizations or individual artists for public or private events. Exhibitions will run for 1, 2, or 4 weeks, and the gallery can also be booked for full-day and evening rentals.
