gallerywest is a space for contemporary art, located at 1332 Queen Street West, Toronto, Ontario. This project space is intended to facilitate exciting new contemporary art shows in the Parkdale area.  One of the unique features of gallerywest is the dialogue it bridges between Toronto and Western Canada with an emphasis on Saskatchewan artists.  Saskatchewan is a province with an abundance of raw, quirky and prolific creative talent that remains under-represented in Canada’s epicentre of arts and culture. 

gallerywest aims to exhibit contemporary Western Canadian art and will include other geographies.  In the coming year, the gallery will feature exhibitions by emerging and established artists from Saskatchewan, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Cuba and Finland.  Our programming direction focuses on works that are thoughtfully engaged in a contemporary geographical dialogue.

gallerywest is accepting submissions for group and solo shows in the upcoming year. This call is for artists who are working in all media and is also open to curatorial proposals.
