Prefix Institute of Contemporary Art is proud to present the fourth season of the Urban Field Speakers Series. Programmed in association with the Visible City Project and Archive of York University, the series continues to offer an array of international and local participants, including artists, architects, curators, designers and scholars, who offer their unique perspectives on the role of art in transforming the experience of the city. Last year's series featured sold-out talks by such internationally renowned speakers as Iara Boubnova, Irit Rogoff and Peter Weibel. The upcoming roster includes New Delhi-based Raqs Media Collective, Founding Director of the Canadian Centre for Architecture Phyllis Lambert and Belgian political theorist Chantal Mouffe, among others.
The Urban Field Speakers Series will run from February to May 2009. All lectures take place at 7:30 PM at Prefix.
Seating is limited and guaranteed to sell out, so be sure to purchase your series pass early to guarantee admission. Series passes are available in advance or at the door. Tickets to single events are available only at the door.
