Our award-winning social enterprise, PATCH is a public arts agency that improves the urban experience for local residents and visitors alike by transforming vacant urban spaces into an ongoing curated exhibition.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a Program Coordinator to join our dynamic team whose responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with Management to develop work plans associated with implementing annual program plan and earned revenue projects

  • Identifying, developing and stewarding relationships with stakeholders, including: artists/arts organizations; funders; clients; program delivery partners needed to successfully execute program plan and strategic organizational activities

  • Coordinating the successful execution of cultural projects, including but not limited to:
    • preparing partner/contractor agreements
    • performing risk assessments (including ensuring compliance with legislative and organizational safety and other policies/protocols)
    • sourcing materials
    • liaising with stakeholders, including supporting collaborating artists in facilitating community engagement activities
    • reporting engagement outcomes along with lessons learned to Senior Management on a quarterly basis, this includes: capturing quantitative data using event registration software, participant lists, attendance sheets, social media account analysis, and website analytics which will comprise a master Engagement Tracking System
    • documenting programming, and/or coordinating with contracted photo / video documentarians
    • facilitating evaluation activities, including the development and implementation of in-person, phone or online activity-specific evaluation surveys, meetings and/or arts-based methods
    • working closely with Management to develop outreach and communications strategies for successful execution of program plan and business development goals, including the production of associated communications tools and implementation of outreach campaigns;
    • planning and coordinating outreach events, including but not limited to community-engaged arts programming as well as public consultations
    • facilitating promotion/recruitment and activities, including but not limited to calls-for-artists; capacity building opportunities for community-led groups; outreach for community program participants

  • Executing communications, outreach, and promotional activities:
    • designing communications / outreach tools, and/or coordinating with contracted designers/specialists in the development of such tools in line with organizational brand guidelines
    • developing and disseminating social media content
    • implementing public relations / media activities, including drafting press releases and facilitating targeted media pitches
    • ongoing maintenance of STEPS (2) websites, including copywriting and copyediting, ensuring timely posting of new program content, adding new audio-visual content, and ensuring content is accessible in accordance with AODA guidelines
    • collecting content for monthly organizational newsletter from the wider team and facilitating dissemination through Mailchimp
    • preparing reports upon completion of projects / programming
    • representing the organization at events or external meetings
    • Monitoring media for key sector related news

  • Supporting fundraising activities, including but not limited to:
    • fostering relationships with donors/grantors/sponsors
    • contributing to fundraising / fee-for-service proposals
    • supporting the development of grant proposals
    • preparing grant / partner reports

  • Providing supervision and administrative support to program staff / contractors (including seasonal staff, placement students and collaborating artists)

  • Other activities that further the purposes outlined above


This is a one-year full-time contract position, with the possibility of renewal and salary commensurate with experience.
