Toronto Art Book Fair
Call for Exhibitors

Application Deadline: Friday, February 23rd, 2018

The Toronto Art Book Fair is pleased to announce that we are now accepting exhibitor applications for TOABF 2018.

The 3rd edition of the Toronto Art Book Fair will take place from Thursday, July 5 - Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Chinatown Centre (222 Spadina Avenue). TOABF 2018 will feature exhibitions and programming under the theme of print and resistance. Printed matter has a long history of circumventing institutional systems, and a reputation as a vehicle for critique. For TOABF 2018, we will be focusing our resources on highlighting histories and contemporary practices that incite critical engagement and social justice. Artists, publishers, presses and organizations engaged in discourse and activities of social, economic, and political activism are encouraged to apply.

Exhibitor applications can be found here.

Each year, the Toronto Art Book Fair welcomes over 4500 attendees, many of whom participate in the 35+ fair and Art Book Week activities. TOABF aims to increase the visibility and appreciation of artists’ books, multiples, print culture, and independent publishers through learning, collaboration, and community engagement. The ongoing vision for TOABF is to represent the diversity of cultural production and creative expression across Canada and to create dialogue with contemporary peers abroad.

Art Book Week (July 5-11 2018) is a parallel series of city-wide events that coincide with the fair. Art Book Week will feature artist’s book-driven exhibitions, projects, and programs held throughout the GTA. The goal of Art Book Week is to bring attention to current artist’s book culture and practices as well as highlight Toronto’s art publishing community. If you are interested in hosting an Art Book Week event, please contact us at artbookweek@torontoartbookfair.com.
