CRAFT COUNCIL OF NEWFOUNDLAND & LABRADOR GALLERY – CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The Craft Council Gallery is St. John’s premier space for the presentation of fine craft. We welcome proposals from craftspeople/artists, curators, groups and organizations. A broad range of art is considered but the Gallery’s priority is craft and craft based art. We encourage submissions that celebrate the full spectrum of craft practice: finely tuned traditional skills; cutting-edge work that incorporates new media and technologies; performance, video, and installation that pushes the boundaries of contemporary craft. The Gallery pays professional fees and contributes toward shipping costs, and makes every effort to promote artists through publications, reviews, and peripheral programming. We strongly encourage submissions from artists from diverse cultural and social backgrounds, and are seeking to highlight craft practices from Indigenous artists.
